The babies are here!

Glenn, Amy and crew arrived early yesterday morning. Already the time is running by too quickly. Aunts, uncles, nieces, brothers and sisters are enjoying each other hugely. My only gripe is that the aunts hog the babies so that this grandmother doesn't get as much baby-time as she imagined she would!

Last night Hayley and Marley took a bubble bath in the big tub. They turned on the jets to make it extremely frothy.

Sarah usually has Abbey in her arms, and Joan usually takes Madyson. Marley and Hayley run off and do their own thing: coloring on the front porch, swinging, jumping on the trampoline, painting their fingernails, etc.

Steve reminded Sarah that when she was a baby we assigned a lot of her care to Glenn - and he was only 12! We think it's great that Sarah is taking care of Abbey.

And here's Mady in Amy's arms. (Madyson is a smiling baby most of the time.)

Yesterday morning Glenn and Amy made Amish friendship bread for us all to enjoy. Glenn brought us some starter mix, too, and shared his own personal touches to the recipe (instead of a box of pudding mix he adds 3/4 c. of sugar and 2 t. of pumpkin pie spice). What a son and daughter-in-law we're blessed with!
