Our pecan crop...
We also have Delilah, the mighty hunting cat, to thank for chasing off the squirrels who try to get our pecans.
Unfortunately, we recently realized that Cocoa is eating all the pecans she finds on the ground. She crunches the outer husk, cracks the inner shell as best she can, and eats the nut, shell and all. Of course, she prefers that we crack the pecan for her, and give her only the nut to eat. She's a terrible beggar and whines and yelps when she sees us eating the pecans without sharing with her.

My dog has been known to eat the shells I find on the beach. Pecans shells are a better choice, I think. At least there is something tasty inside.
Chocolate! Lab
How beautiful is that? I love the color.
I bet those pecans keep your pooch nice a healthy :o)
Where did you get your cat?
Now! That's a great looking cat!!!!
Tracy, Cocoa also eats the mussel shells at the lake.
Dana, her coat *is* lovely!
Donna, the cat took up with us back in July when she was a tiny kitten. Someone abandoned her down the street in front of a neighbor's house, and she wandered down to us and wouldn't leave. Now we think God sent her because He knew we needed a cat, even though we did not want a cat. She's fantastic! She's our "outdoor" cat that stays outside and hunts vermin during the day, then sleeps in our house at night. And she doesn't have a litter box, but very properly does all her "business" out in our field. How much better can it get?
I tell ya, Laura.
You have the perfect cat.
Besides going potty outside....she is absolutely gorgeous!
Lamb in Love is getting quite good.
I thought the robe on the bed was a bit forward. But Norris is so innocent, I don't think he thought it thru.
Yes, I was shocked at the robe on the bed, too. But Vida's thoughts cracked me up. I *did* laugh out loud a few places in that book!
