Layne's socks are the Ragg Socks from Morehouse Merino Farm. They were knit on US size 6 (gasp! - yes, it was like knitting with baseball bats!) dpns. I like to wear thick socks like that around the house as slippers...when I'm not wearing them with my hiking boots.
