Knitting for Bear

With about 6 to 8 weeks of pregnancy left, Joan is starting to nest. She's been knitting all kinds of things for her baby "Bear." This is becoming the summer of babies, so I've been making lots of bootees and bibs to give as gifts, and am enjoying the evenings Joan and I spend knitting together. Baby garments are so quickly made and so cute!

Hi Laura.
How lovely to hear from you again. I have missed your blog and have been thinking of you and your daughter, knowing that her time was almost here. It has flown so quickly, yet so slowly without knowledge of how things were. This will be a very lucky baby to have such a wonderful family to give him/her a home and love.
I will have a look on amazon for the book recommended, although I might find it at Woolfest next week. Woolfest is a big event in the UK, about 100 miles from where we live, full of wool related stalls and events, spinning, knitting, crochet, yarncrafts, and of course sheep! Not everyones idea of a 40th birthday weekend but I'm so looking forward to it :-)
Thank you for your kind offer of fleece, so lovely of you. You do remember that we are in the UK? Of course I'm not saying that I wouldn't want to accept your kind offer, just wondering as to the logistics of posting worldwide? It would be wonderful to be able to spin from fleece with such a personal history.
Thinking of you and your daughter in these last few days/weeks and hoping for a gentle birthing experience.
