Barefoot sandals

Joan asked me to make her some barefoot sandals.  I found a good pattern and it is free!  The pattern is called Goddess Barefoot Sandals by Julie King.  I appreciated the well-written pattern and the progress pictures.  It made it much easier for a crochet-novice like me to work them.  And the part I like best?  They're made with DMC Embroidery Floss!

These are so cool, but i am having trouble making them, any chance you could help me with the process? I get stuck on part 5, the points in the triangle don't look connected.

Julie King posted pictures of the sandals in process that I found helpful. What part is giving you trouble on round 5?

I think ive figured out what to do, at first it looked like two blob thinggys that did not look like the connected points on each side of the triangle, what i decided to do was after the first hdc,db combo i chained four then did the next dc,hdc combo coming off of the next available chain space, it looks okay now but the triangle shaped gap below the point is quite small 0.0 ehe
