Marley is 9
On the drive home she reminisced about when she was 8, and mused aloud that this will be her last year in a single digit, because the rest of her life will be lived in double digits, unless she lives to be 100, in which case she'll be in the triple digits. Such are the thoughts of Marley, and I was so grateful to be able to hear them and to enjoy her company.

Happy Birthday Marley! What a special way to spend your birthday
ah, Marley...
I love the thoughts that she has.. Reminds me of Jacy.
Hi - I just found your blog today through...um...well, now I forget! Dominion Family, maybe? Anyway, are you in the ASF area, because so am I! I wanted to go to Beauty and the Beast soooo badly but we just couldn't swing it.
I like your blog!
Hi! I got your email, but it's coming through as "no-reply" for some reason! LOL So here's what I tried to email you:
Laura,
Where are you at? Of course, there are several umbrellas that cover people state-wide so that's not a problem. I use Outlook Academy out of Millbook. http://www.outlookacademy.com You have to do your initial paperwork, of course, but that's just a couple of pages, then a couple pages once/year at the beginning of the local school year that they turn in for you, and twice/year you have to turn in attendance. (They don't have an attendance requirement, they just need the number.) That's it! I've never called Carren, the administrator, before, but she's always answered my emails promptly. I don't know how much she signs off on for the things you mentioned, but I bet she does. (Mine are only 11 and 8, so that's not a worry for us for a while!)
The cover I used to use was Covenant Academy, here in Montgomery. I wasn't as satisfied with them even though the admin is as sweet as can be - they don't always keep their website up and running, and I like using a website when I can. At the time, they also charged an extra fee for a local "coordinator" because they cover statewide and use various coordinators for different areas so that everyone could have a local person. I think they're not doing that anymore, but I'm not sure. But I know the admin and know that she has done a lot of the older child things you're talking about. They also have very minimal paperwork.
Also, neither of the covers I just mentioned have any required statements of faith, required school subjects, rules about numbers of days, times, etc. Very laid back.
Nice to hear back from you!
Melanie
