Exhibit 1

My "Jury Duty" socks. I did take a book with me, too, but for the two weeks I sat in the court room and jury room doing my civic duty I worked on these socks most of the time. They're knit with Noro yarn on size 2 needles, and I was distressed to find two knots in the yarn! Unheard of, quite annoying, and oh, so obvious in the sock on the right.

beautiful colors! I just love them. I cherish the hope that maybe I will learn to knit socks one of these years.
Explain the problem with the knot - it's uncomfortable to wear?

If you can knit, then you can knit socks!

Knots are nasty because a knot is uncomfortable, and it has to be cut out and the ends have to be woven in well so that they don't unravel. When knitting with space-dyed yarn, it also changes the color or pattern progression, which is very evident in the pair I knit.
