Dishcloths - sneak peek for Marla
I'm shipping these off to Marla today. Guess which one is my favorite.
If you guessed the blue one with the USMC eagle, globe and anchor, you guessed correctly!
I had knitted only one dishcloth before knitting these. Have I been missing out! They were fun, quick knits, easy to do while reading or watching a show on HGTV.
Now I have to get back to work on Mom and Dad's cardigans.

I love your dishclothes! I have yet to knit one myself but your colorful display really motivates me!
I found the Dicken's book you mentioned at Borders last night. It was very thick with very small print, and my eyes (actually just my left eye) has gotten so bad that I knew I couldn't attempt it until I get used to wearing the glasses the good doctor gave me last year. sigh. But then again, maybe I just need to look at it as more motivation to adjust to the glasses. (I really should use them to at least look in the mirror before I leave the house anyway.)
PS... I'm struggling to get this to post because I keep getting the funky letters wrong. Do you think it's a sign?
Oooh, I like the blue one too! My family had friends when I was growing up, and the wife would always leave us a hand-knitted dish cloth after a visit as a reminder to pray for them (they were in full-time ministry and traveled a lot). Seeing your dishclothes reminded me of that long-forgotten memory! : )
Tammy,
I almost always have trouble posting comments on anyone's blog who uses Blogger. I think they have some serious bug issues. Sorry about the small print in Dickens. I checked out a copy from the library because my personal copy had small print and since I got bi-focals several years ago, anything other than medium to large print really hurts my eyes. Hope you can find a copy that's readable!
Claire,
I like that idea of knitting dishcloths as a prayer reminder! I'm sure y'all thought of them and prayed everytime you used it.
I love the dishclothes! I have a few that were made for me , they aren't that cute though! Love you guys.
I've tried a couple times to leave a comment and I hope this one works... Never had trouble before, so I don't know what my problem is! Anyway, I love the dishcloths! They are so beautiful - and probably even more so when I receive them. Thank you so much for making them. I know I'll think of you every time I do the dishes with them.
