A high of 102...

... so Amy and I took the children and dogs to the lake early this morning for a few hours before it got unbearable.

And would you look at the water level? It's at least as low as it is in the winter, if not lower! The beach is like a desert of burning sand - so we left for home around 10:30 a.m.

Ouch! Hot sand is no fun. I was just telling Aunt B about how incredibly dry it's been this year. We're sure praying for rain, rain, rain!

Also, I was going to give you a call, but I cannot find your email w/ the numbers. I wanted to let you know your boxes arrived safe and sound. Mail lady delivered part of them, but left a tag for the rest. I have no idea why... we have strange mail service here. Anyway, the boys have had their noses in them since they arrived. THANK YOU! Thank you so much!

102?!? Unbearable! I become a useless, lifeless blob in such heat.

Our summer has been fairly mild so far, but August/Sept seem to be our worst months.

The second photo is really pretty.

Have I missed an outside shot of the cottage?

The inside is looking wonderful!
