More mitered squares
I've made 8 squares and have a ninth on the needles. The Mitered Squares Blanket pattern calls for 80 squares. This will ensure a busy summer.

O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good inheritance. ~Psalm 16:5,6.

I love knitting mitred squares, in fact I'm somewhat of an addict. But the thought of sewing all those squares together would drive me up the wall!
Have you ever thought of knitting the squares together as you go, making one big blanket in one piece, no ends to sew in. Here's a scrappy one I did a while back:

I remember seeing a post about doing something like that at the Mason-Dixon blog. I did make a Dancing Crayons shawl with mitered squares picking up stitches on each block as I knit, and the Moderne Log Cabin Blanket I just finished was knit that way so I did not have to seam it together. I definitely am impressed with the strength of the joins in those items, but for now I plan to go ahead and seam the squares together at the end.
Another reason to do it that way is that I have no idea how I plan to arrange the squares yet.
