Sarah's Ribby Cardi
Finished just in time! Sarah leaves for school in three weeks and she'll be able to take her Ribby Cardi with her, ready for the cooler weather that will eventually come.
This project had been languishing in my knitting bag for months, almost finished, but not quite. I have a terrible habit of slowing down on a project as it nears completion - I don't enjoy the finishing work that goes into the garment as much as I do the straight knitting. Weaving in yarn ends, blocking, seaming together - and for this cardigan, sewing in a zipper - all leave me less than thrilled. But I made myself buckle down and finish and I'm so glad I did! I love the pattern and I love my daughter.
And isn't she cute in it?!

Great job, Laura! And she does look great in it! Way to go!
Wonderful! Sarah looks great in it. What a lovely thing for her to go to school with, a cardi knitted by her mum. She'll think of you every time she wears it.

She's a beautiful girl and the sweater looks great on her!
I love it, and Sarah looks great in it! Nice work. I can imagine her wearing it while walking across campus on chilly days this fall.
She's beautiful. And she has grown so much, just since I started reading this blog! Wow. You really reinforce my enthusiasm for the teen years and beyond - we don't have to stop enjoying them. Thank you for sharing that with us. :-)
And? That is a *great* cardigan! I'm in awe (as usual).
Looks great! I bet she loves it!
