August knitting
It's very hot and humid now - just the right weather for knitting with cotton.
Sarah starts school soon, and I knit a few dishcloths for her and her roommate to use:
I also bought a few skeins of mercerized cotton to knit washcloths for her. I've never used mercerized cotton for anything other than garments before, and I'm interested to see how this turns out.
They will not be finished before she leaves, so I'm thinking they'll go into the first "care package" we send her.

What loved children you have, I hope they appreciate just how loved they are, getting care packages, with homemade items inside. I'm secretly a little jealous (in the nicest possible way) because I never received care packages! Of course they are really love packages, aren't they? Showing how much love and how in your thoughts your children are. You are a lovely person.
Love Vanessa xxx (do you mind if i knit)
I love your wash cloths. I have made a few of my own and I love them. I think I may give some to co-worker for Christmas this year with a few little kitchey things added in. You are so talented and I love stopping by to see what you are working on.
*smiles*
Kim (off to work on a baby hat I am knitting for my first grandbaby. I had to rip it all out and am slow getting started again.)
