Baby blanket in a bulky yarn
A few weeks ago I bought a bulky cotton yarn and a cute pattern to knit a baby blanket with a crocheted border. The store model was knit in green and blue yarn, but by the time I was there the only colors left were yellow and orange. I bought them anyway and knit it up. Now I'm wondering why? Who on earth would like a yellow and orange blanket?!
Oh, well. It was fun to make and I'm sure I'll give it to someone somewhere someday.

It's really very pretty, Laura. Any baby would be lucky to snuggle under it. :-)
Really, I kind of like it. It is so spring and summer to me. I think the colors go very well together.
What's wrong with an orange and yellow blanket? It's adorable and bright and well made. Any baby would feel lucky indeed to have such a sunny blanket.
it's beautiful! I love yellow on babies and the orange is just an accent here. I looked through a box of my daughter's baby clothes recently and ALL I saw was PINK. I like pink, but there's just way too much pink for girls and blue for boys.
It looks good in the photo. I think it would appeal to lots of people. And it would work for either a baby girl or baby boy.
looks cozy to me! (my favorite word)
Definitely Winnie the Pooh and Tigger colors :) Some child is going to cherish that for a lifetime!
It's so special (and rare these days) to get something handmade, I agree with Jennie any baby would be luck to snuggle under it....and I *happen* to be having a baby soon, and you *happen* to already be sending me a box. ;) No pressure...
It is lovely. I've just been reading through your blog together with a cup of tea and a doughnut and I've enjoyed myself tremendously! Thank you, btw, for commenting on my blog. Best wishes.
